Start either at the library home page (https://libguides.hiu.edu/library/) and click the "A-Z Database Link (Click Here)" or start at the A-Z page (https://libguides.hiu.edu/az.php).

From the first drop-down menu, "All Subjects", pick the major subject of the paper. Pick "Interdisciplinary" if you are unsure.

From the second drop-down menu, "All Database Types", pick "Articles and Reports".

Now, after reading the database descriptions, pick the database that seems most appropriate.

After searching by keywords or by subject headings, look for the various limiters. Limiters are was to narrow your results list. Common limiters are date, language, method of research, and "peer review" or "scholarly" (which both mean about the same thing).
